is so bitter & malignant, so full of coarse
and yet studied insolence, that I do
think, myself, the writer of it ought
to remain in any
much less a post which brings

into direct collision with the Ch. Justice. I have & have recommended immediate proceedings to his suspension, but for one circumstance: Sir J. Bowring, in his letter
